CM Punk Rips Retribution

CM Punk Rips WWE’s Retribution

Former WWE world champion CM Punk is no stranger to major angles.

He also is very strong-willed when it comes to voicing his opinion on any and all subject matters including the ongoing WWE angle involving Retribution.

Punk once again took to social media to voice his displeasure over how the angle is playing out. It marks the third time in a month that he has done so.

“When you’re bored in catering and there’s an abundance of paper plates,” Punk wrote on his Instagram story.

Along with the comments, Punk attached a screenshot of Slapjack (Shane Thorne) from the most recent edition of Monday Night Raw.

Members of Retribution including Slapjack, Mace (Dio Maddin) and T-BAR (Dominik Dijakovic) were part of the main event bout with The Hurt Business.

T-BAR took note of the comments made by Punk, replying “You mock my brother SLAPJACK because you are a coward like every current and former WWE superstar. You tease leading RETRIBUTION but we will not follow you to failure like your New Nexus. We will destroy this place piece by piece, including you if you ever show up.”

Plans for Retribution include a Survivor Series elimination match between the members of the faction and those competing on RAW. It is likely to serve in the main event of one of the WWE’s bigger shows planned for the year.

Punk previously posted that he felt the members of Retribution should be “the grandchildren of all the heads of former territories. Led by Greg Gagne.” Vince McMahon is infamous for taking control of many old wrestling promotions when he took over the WWE from his father.

Punk recently called MMA action for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, which airs on UFC Fight Pass.

The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns

The Rock

Roman Reigns is currently involved in one family feud, but could another be in order down the road?

The Rock, also known as Dwayne Johnson, brought Reigns on for “Hobbs & Shaw” and was asked about the idea of facing him inside the WWE ring at WrestleMania. The topic came up on a video posted on YouTube with Hiram Garcia, a close friend and business partner.

“You know, you and I have talked about this, and it’s so funny how a lot of people always say, ‘well, if you ever go back to WrestleMania, who would be the opponent that you would face?'” Johnson said (thanks to Wrestling Inc. for the quotes). “Feels like the one that would make sense, right, would be Roman.

“In terms of box-office draw.”

Johnson helped Garcia with his new book, “The Rock: Through the Lens: His Life, His Movies, His World.”

The last time The Rock competed for the promotion was at WrestleMania 29 in 2013 when he faced John Cena. He made a quick appearance three years later to defeat Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32.

WWE booking Reigns vs. The Rock has been a match fans have discussed for years. With Reigns being the top heel, there is finally a real possibly it happens.

But, the biggest issue would be The Rock getting the okay from Hollywood to wrestle.
