Mike Rodriguez returned to the win column at UFC Vegas 7 in impressive fashion, as the light heavyweight’s clinch game proved to be the undoing of Marcin Prachnio.
Prachnio fired a couple of leg kicks to begin the fight. Rodriguez stayed busy with front kicks and threatened with a flying knee. Prachnio clinched up a couple of minutes and both men landed some hard strikes. Moments later, Rodriguez sent Prachnio to the deck with vicious elbows from the clinch, and finished the deal with punches from above.
Impressive win for Rodriguez, who was fighting for the first time since December, when he was stopped by Da Un Jung.
Rodriguez and Prachnio weren’t supposed to fight in the co-headliner, as a bout between Ovince Saint Preux and Alonzo Menifield was supposed to have that slot. But, Saint Preux tested positive for COVID-19 and the fight was cancelled.
Here are the results so far for UFC Vegas 7, which is taking place at the Apex Facility.
