Loretta Lynn and Kid Rock tied the knot over the weekend – sort of. The 88-year-old Country legend announced her tongue-in-cheek status as a cougar on social media late Sunday night.
The “Coalminer’s Daughter” has been the subject of tabloid headlines since her stroke. And, Loretta figured that since the media is going to write whatever they want about her, she was going to make the story fun.

Kid Rock And Loretta Lynn’s Friendship
Loretta’s son and daughter-in-law renewed their wedding vows over the weekend. Family friend Kid Rock was there as the officiant. He and the Country legend have long joked about getting married because they get along so well. Loretta even had a veil for her impromptu ceremony.
The light-hearted moment certainly made both the “bride” and the “groom” smile. In typical Kid Rock fashion, he wore overalls without a shirt, which makes the pictures even more on-point.
Each of them are used to doing things their own way.
Both are unashamed conservatives who fight back against the mainstream media’s incorrect portrayals of them. This unconventional union was a fun way to do that together.

Loretta’s granddaughter Tayla Lynn shared the backstory on Facebook about these fun nuptials that may someday be an urban legend. The pictures show it was an absolute delight for the Lynn family to experience such joy and see Loretta so thrilled.
