Fox News reported that Katherine Williams-Dunning was tragically killed on Saturday night while driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe on Highway 79 in Henry County, Tennessee.

The vehicle, which was towing a boat, crossed the median and began rolling over before coming to a stop on the shoulder of the road.

Katherine Williams-Dunning’s Sister Pays Tribute To Her

Williams-Dunning’s sister Holly, who is also a singer, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her by posting a family photo.

“I have no words. On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie,” the caption of the photo read. “We all went to my great aunts funeral on Thursday whom we all loved dearly, and now are faced with another one. ALL we need is prayers. My daddy. My little brother. Katie’s husband (he is awake and responding don’t know injury extent yet). My niece and nephew. Her Mama. The Dunning family. All of us. So. Many. Prayers. Jesus is close. Thank you all.”

Holly, 39, ended her post with the Bible verse, “Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. Psalm 31:9.”

Williams-Dunning had been married to her husband since 2015 and was the mother to two children: a son Beau Weston, 5, and a daughter Audrey Jane, 2.

She also ran a clothing company called Weston Jane, a brand that is built on the idea of “moms supporting moms.”

Hank Williams Jr.’s Feelings On Anthem Protests

Two years ago, Williams Jr. let his feelings be known about the infamous NFL protests that saw players taking a knee during the national anthem when he wrote the song “Take a Knee, Take a Hike.”

“Please do us a favor, all you America haters/ If you’re gonna take a knee, take a hike,” Williams Jr. sings in the song, later adding, “I’m afraid the NFL means ‘Not For Long’ if they don’t find a fix for what’s going on.”

Please keep the Williams and Dunning families in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
