CM Punk made the initial attack and now AJ Styles is responding. Plus, Nia Jax is done taking slack from critics.

AJ Styles Lays Into CM Punk

AJ Styles responded to comments made by CM Punk about certain pro wrestlers remaining quiet in regards to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Styles, in an interview with The Times of India, remarked that he will not remark – yes, confusing – to comments made by someone. At the same time, he also did not address the movement, which has picked up steam in recent days.

“I will not react at all coming from a guy like that (who) I don’t respect anyway,” Styles said. “It doesn’t really matter. Look, my job as a performer is to perform and get (fans’) minds off all the things that have happened throughout the world.

“I’m not going to react to people saying ridiculous and stupid things.”

Punk made his comments during an appearance on WWE Backstage, adding to it through social media.

“I’m not here to pretend to understand how black people feel,” Punk said. “It’s not my place to tell them how to react.”

“Lotta people snitching on themselves,” Punk wrote. “When people tell you who they are, believe it. Might be unfortunate and disappointing if you’re a fan of that person, or if it’s your grandmother, but (expletive) ‘em. Good bye! (I yield my time, (expletive) you.).”

Nia Jax Responds To Critics

Nia Jax

This coming Sunday night at WWE Backlash, Nia Jax challenges Asuka for the RAW women’s championship.

Many, though, have voiced their concern over Jax and how she performs inside the ring.

As for those critics, Jax could care less, as she told WWE The Bump during a recent appearance.

“This time I don’t give a flying you know what, what anybody thinks,” she said (thanks to Ringside News for the quotes). “Last time I cared too much. This time I do not care. If I have that title I earned it, I deserve it, and I’m gonna carry it with pride.

“That’s that.”

Jax has come under fire several times in her career, most recently for two botched spots involving Kairi Sane.

The injury that caught the most attention for Jax, though, came in 2018 when she left Becky Lynch with a broken face following an errant punch. The move almost derailed the push for Lynch, who was able to overcome the injury and make it big.
