Madonna has been hit with backlash from people accusing her of being a narcissistic celebrity after she posted a video of her son David Banda dancing as a bizarre “tribute” to George Floyd. Floyd died while in police custody earlier this week.

Fox News reported that the pop singer took to Instagram on Thursday to post a video of her son dancing in her kitchen to Michael Jackson’s song “They Don’t Care About Us,” claiming that she was only doing this to pay “tribute” to Floyd.
“As news of George Floyds brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America,” she captioned the video, adding the hashtags “#davidbanda #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #Michael Jackson.”

Madonna Hit With Backlash
It didn’t take long for this move to blow up in Madonna’s face. Social media users immediately accused her of being a “self absorbed celebrity” with this ridiculous tribute.
“Really? That’s your answer? Dance? #selfabsorbedcelebrity,” one social media user tweeted, with another adding sarcastically, :”It’s OK everyone! Madonna has just eradicated racism through the power of interpretive dance!”
It was only a few weeks back Madonna was posting how Covid is the great leveller from her luxury bathtub. Now this.

Madonna Blasts The Second Amendment
Of course, Madonna also tried to use Floyd’s death to strip law-abiding Americans of their Second Amendment rights while also cursing out police officers.
“Watching this Cop suffocate George Floyd with his knee on his neck, handcuffed and helpless, crying for his life with his face in the street is the most sickening, heartbreaking thing ive seen in a long time,” Madonna wrote on Instagram alongside the infamous video of Floyd being pinned by officers. “This Officer knew he was being filmed and murdered him with arrogance and Pride. This has to stop!!”

“Until we can overcome Racism in America— no one should be allowed to carry a gun. Most of all cops,” she added, going on to express her hopes that these “senseless killings” will someday come to an end.
“I pray to GOD it does one day,” Madonna concluded. “Until then—F*** The Police!”
What happened to Floyd is a travesty. And, it’s truly despicable that Madonna is shamelessly using his death to push her own radical leftwing agendas while also garnering more attention for herself.
With this move, Madonna has shown that she really is just another narcissistic elitist celebrity who has lost all touch with reality.
