Tommaso Ciampa On Suicide Attempt, Big E Irate About Kofi Kingston

Tommaso Ciampa On Attempted Suicide Attempt

Tommaso Ciampa is known for being one of the superstars that helped shape NXT to what the brand is today. But, there was a time when Ciampa was in a dark place. While speaking with  Chasing Glory, Ciampa opened up about a private and dark time in his life.

During a rough patch, Ciampa got the idea to commit suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning via his car’s exhaust. He discussed how he came up with the plan after his sister’s ex-boyfriend committed suicide.

Details Of Dark Times For Ciampa

“The reason it didn’t work is because I was in this weird, back parking lot area of this mall,” said Ciampa. “It was like 2-3 AM, and somebody who was off shift, who was done, the mall security, for God knows what reason, decided to do one more circle lap and saw this car, and called the cops.”

“When the cops show up, I’m like virtually passed out. I remember I was doing some of the cry for help texts with my brother and an ex-girlfriend. Then, those stopped because I was, I do remember, I don’t know if some of this is I remember or just being told by the cops after.”

“But, when they came my phone was shut off and I was not in it and they knocked on the window and got the door open and once the oxygen started to circulate again. Obviously, I started to come to and ended up going to get help.”

Eventually, the former NXT Champion would get the help he needed. Then, he decided to train with Harley Race and things got better.

Now, Ciampa is part of the WWE roster and one of the biggest stars to ever appear on NXT. The story could have gone in a tragic direction, but thankfully everything worked out for Ciampa.

Never be afraid to ask for help. There are friends, doctors, and people to speak with if someone is having trouble. Or, one can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

Big E Irate How Kofi Kingston Lost WWE Championship

WrestleMania 35 was a fairytale event for Kofi Kingston as he became WWE Champion for the first time in his 10 plus year run with the promotion. He would keep the title until SmackDown’s debut on Fox, where he dropped the title to Brock Lesnar in about 10 seconds.

During WWE’s After The Bell, Kingston’s friend and New Day stablemate Big E addressed his anger in the quick title change.

“I was irate when I found out about it and that is a testament to Kofi,” said Big E. “I’m not saying no one else in the industry, but very few people would have had that approach. But, not many would have taken that approach and not have sour grapes and be able to move on.”

After dropping the belt, Kingston was quickly pushed back into the tag team division. With Xavier Woods injuried, Kingston and Big E have been defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Kingston winning the WWE Championship will go down as one of the greatest WrestleMania moments, but the way Lesnar captured the title left many fans disappointed. We will have to see if WWE gives Kingston another singles run with one of their top belts.
