Country Star Zach Bryan Quietly Helps Cleanup Tornado Damage In Nebraska

The award-winning country music star Zach Bryan was spotted helping with cleanup efforts in Nebraska, following a series of tornados that ripped across the midwest.

Bryan Steps Up To Help After Tornado

CBS News reported that roughly 106 separate tornadoes were identified across six states late last week. Nebraska and Iowa were the hardest hit, according to officials.

The Omaha World-Herald reports that Bryan stepped in himself to assist in the cleanup and wasn’t looking for publicity for his actions.

“How cool is it that he would just show up and start working?” one witness said. “He was just out there among the people without any fanfare. As the mother of two teenagers, that’s the kind of celebrity I want my kids to follow.”

People Magazine reported that a 17 year-old only identified as Gavin was with several other members of his football team at Elkhorn High School in Nebraska when Bryan suddenly showed up to help.

“Zach’s people were saying they didn’t want any pictures or anything because he was just there to help,” he said. “It was pretty awesome to see that.”

Video of his efforts made their way to social media.

Bryan Shares Message Of Support After Nebraska Tornados

Bryan shared a message of support by posting an image of the devastation in parts of Nebraska.

“As an American and someone who lived in Omaha for some pretty formidable years of my life, I want to offer some honest prayers and hopes to the communities affected by the tornadoes that tore through them,” he wrote.

“The band and I are standing with you guys as we are playing some shows in Omaha. I am so sorry to anyone that is having to deal with picking up the pieces of their homes and their lives,” he added. “Without taking credit from the thousands of people lending a hand who have roots here, we love you so much and we’ll do all we can to help.”

Grammy Award-Winning Country Star

Bryan is a rising country music star known for his hit songs “Something in the Orange” and “I Remember Everything,” the latter winning him his first Grammy Award.

He has quickly ascended through the country music ranks, winning the 2023 Billboard Music Award for Top New Artist.

Bryan’s albums American Heartbreak and a self-titled album reached the top five of the Billboard 200.
