Brock Lesnar Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar’s Royal Rumble Opponent

Brock Lesnar Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble pay per view is just over a month away. WWE declares the event as the start to the Road to WrestleMania.

One of the big questions heading into the event will be Brock Lesnar’s opponent. While not confirmed, the WWE Champion is expected to defend to his title.

On yesterday’s RAW, it appears most of the top babyfaces already have a feud. For weeks, Seth Rollins and the AOP have been booked as the top heels. They have beaten-up Kevin Owens for weeks, while now adding Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe to their list.

With three of RAW’s top babyfaces seemingly in a program, it has led to speculation about Lesnar’s next challenger. During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned how there are not many options.

“What’s interesting is that Lesnar should be coming back soon,” said Meltzer. “I wonder who’s left for him if that’s the other program.”

For what it is worth, Lesnar has already feuded with Mysterio and Samoa Joe. Back at Great Balls of Fire in 2016, Lesnar defeated Joe in the main event. At the time, Lesnar held the Universal Championship. Then, during Survivor Series in November of this year, Lesnar retained the WWE Championship against Mysterio. As for Owens, he has never fought Lesnar. But, Owens currently has his hands full being the main target of the newly turned heel, Rollins.

A few months ago, Lesnar won the WWE Championship on SmackDown’s debut for FOX. He needed all of about 10 seconds to end Kofi Kingston’s fairytale title run.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return

“The Beast Incarnate” should be returning to WWE TV in a matter of weeks. He is not scheduled for the last RAW of 2019, but having him on first episode of 2020 might be a smart move on WWE’s part. As the Royal Rumble draws near, we should see Lesnar appear on WWE TV about two times.

Catch the Royal Rumble from Houston, Texas’ Minute Maid Park. The event is January 26 with RAW, SmackDown and also the addition of NXT.

WWE’s Offer To Killer Kross

Following his Impact Wrestling release, Killer Kross is currently one of the hottest free agents. WWE has interest in signing the wrestler and apparently are willing to give him a good salary.

Wrestling News reports besides money, WWE would bring him right to the main roster without having to stop in NXT.

“They are willing to have him start on Raw or SmackDown and fast track him into the upper card,” according to the source. “Kross is in a great negotiating spot right now.”

This could be good or bad for Kross. Most talent usually go through NXT before joining the main roster. This includes the likes of of national stars such as Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura. Although, WWE has allowed wrestlers to jump right into RAW or SmackDown. It worked well for AJ Styles, but not so much for Mike Kanellis.

One thing WWE wants to avoid is Kross signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is currently scheduled to work for MLW, he has not signed with that promotion.

Kross’ girlfriend, Scarlett Bordeaux, signed with WWE in November and is currently training out of their Performance Center. That could play a factor in Kross joining WWE.
