Ric Flair’s Contract Expiring Shortly

WWE does not want to lose any talent to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and that includes retired names. Ric Flair’s contract expires around the end of the year and WWE is expected to make him a good offer to stay put.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted how Flair is friends with Tony Khan, who was even invited to the two-time WWE Hall of Famer’s latest wedding. With all that in the mind, look for WWE to make the 70 year old a deal he can’t pass up.

Flair was supposed to present the AEW World Championship at Double Or Nothing, but he fell ill. Instead, Bret Hart took Flair’s spot.

Jimmy Uso’s DUI Case Settled

Jimmy Uso is finally catching a break. According to WEARTV in Florida, Jimmy was found not guilty on a misdemeanor DUI charge after the jury deliberated for over an hour. The Unlawful Speeding charge will remain on his record.

This stem back to July, when Jimmy was pulled over and arrested. It is not his first time being in trouble with the law over alcohol. Earlier in the year, he got into a heated altercation with officers after being pulled over. Jimmy would remove his shirt and only calmed down once officers pulled out their taser guns.

Since all the legal trouble, The Usos have been removed from WWE TV. They have not been not been seen since around July and are not advertised for any upcoming shows. Jimmy’s wife, WWE superstar Naomi, has also taken a break during this hectic time.

WWE Offering Big Money For Former Impact Wrestler Killer Kross

Impact Wrestling has released Killer Kross, who debuted for the promotion has virtual unknown in June 2018. In a quick amount of time, he became someone that had the appeal of being a main eventer.

Things eventually went sour, as Kross requested his release and was initially denied. He was looking for more money and was unhappy about a lack of medical staff on-site for a first blood match booked by Impact Wrestling.

He was eventually taken off TV as the two sides tried to work on a new deal. That never happened and Fightful Select reports Kross does not have a no compete clause. He is already booked for MLW’s FIGHTLAND on February 1.

Kross’ girlfriend, who also worked for Impact Wrestling, is Scarlett Bordeaux. She recently signed with WWE and Kross could be following suit.

There are several promotions interested in signing Kross with WWE, AEW and NJPW being the top three. Wrestle Votes stated that WWE is making a hard-play to sign Kross, offering him a higher salary than most talent. The figure is said to be similar to what WWE offered “Hangman” Adam Page before he settled for AEW.
