WWE Paige

Since retiring from wrestling, Paige has received a managerial role for a remarkable tag team, consisting of Asuka and Kaire Sane. Dubbed as the Kabuki Warriors, the team were expected to take the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles quickly, but it hasn’t happened. In fact, the team have barely been featured on WWE television. So, what is going on? Paige has the answers!

Paige Needs To Remind The Writers

According to Paige, the problem with the tag team does not lay with Vince. In fact, she mentions that the writers backstage are the problem. She states that she often has to remind the writers about the women’s tag team belts, and her own tag team for that matter.

“If we don’t get used I get really frustrated because we’re a good tag team and we need to be utilised.”

“Sometimes the writers have so much on their plate with everyone else’s storylines, they put things on the backburner.”

“I have to remind them, ‘Ok, but there is a women’s tag team title…’”

“I’m like, ‘What the hell dudes? Let’s make something happen.’”

Solutions From Vince And Triple H

Paige and the Kabuki Warriors

While Paige did admit there is a problem with the writers backstage, she did mention that she can often find a solution when she speaks to Vince McMahon or Triple H.

“If you go up to writers it’s like talking to a brick wall sometimes, whereas if you go to Vince and Hunter they’re like, ‘If you have a problem we can change that for you.’”

So, Triple H and Vince McMahon are seeing the value of Kaire Sane and Asuka, which is frankly hard to miss. During the interview, Paige also mentioned that the Kabuki Warriors will be built up towards a pay-per-view after a match in Tokyo. She also mentioned she is glad that she has a boss who listens.

Based on Paige’s interview, you do have to wonder if the problems within the WWE’s internal structure have been revealed? Many wrestlers have claimed there is a problem with underused wrestlers and a lack of good creativity. While many of the ideas are stopped by Vince, could there be a bigger problem between wrestlers and the creative team? Time will tell…
