Daniel Bryan On Retirement, WWE NXT Superstar Hit By Drunk Driver

– Heel or babyface, Daniel Bryan is undeniably one of the best in-ring performers of his generation. At the age of 38, and with a 2-year (almost retirement) hiatus around his belt, many fans wonder how much longer DB will compete in that squared circle. Well, wonder no longer! Currently on the SmackDown LIVE brand, Daniel Bryan recently conducted an interview with Sport Illustrated, mostly done in character that is, where he talked about how old he would be when he stepped away from in-ring competition.

Bryan comments on this, below:

“There are people who say, ‘I only want to do this for three or four more years,’ or ‘I only want to do this until I’m 45,’. No. I want to do this until I’m 70. Months before I die, I want to be doing a wrestling show. I won’t be able to do the stuff I do now, but I want to go out and do this thing I’ve been passionate about wrestling my entire life. I want to do that my whole life.”

Whether that is true or not, only time will truly tell. Bryan was conducted the interview, for the most part, as his heel persona, so this could be “smack talk” from the NEW Daniel Bryan, versus Bryan Danielson the man who may decide to step away from the ring at some point, and enjoy his retirement years.

– Meanwhile, a bit of a scary situation for Rachael Evers (Rachael Ellering) recently. The up-and-coming WWE NXT talent took to Twitter to let her fans know that she was involved in an accident with a drunk driver while heading home from Orlando’s WWE Performance Center. Evers relayed that she was alright, and the incident was a hit and run. She also noted that she did chase the car, after the person who was driving took off. Thankfully, she was able to snag some photos of both the vehicle’s plates, and the man driving. Hopefully this will help in finding the idiot who did this; thankfully, Evers is okay.
