Brock Lesnar Comments On WWE & UFC, Original Kofi Kingston – MITB Plans

– Brock Lesnar rarely speaks to the media, so him being the keynote speaker at the Assiniboia Sports Celebrity Dinner & Auction in Saskatchewan was a shocker. After the event Rod Pederesen did a recap of some of the key points.

An interesting part involved Lesnar’s status with WWE and UFC. Lesnar stated that he intentionally signs short contracts as it allows him easy access to jump between WWE and UFC.

At no point did Lesnar reveal where he will land next. At WrestleMania 35, Lesnar opened the main card by losing the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins. Since WWE has tossed automatic rematches out the window, Lesnar has not been mentioned since dropping the belt. 

Although, many believe Lesnar will not pass on the massive pay day for the next WWE event from Saudi Arabia. Recently, Dana White said the rumored Lesnar vs. Cormier fight was not looking good. As for Lesnar, he is still debating if he wants to fight Cormier.

Lesnar keeps to himself and very few people know where he stands with either company. Fans might have to just wait and see if he appears on a WWE or UFC program first. 

– The fans wanted Kofi Kingston to be WWE Champion and they started a massive campaign several months back that concluded at WrestleMania 35 with him winning the title after 11 years with the company. His first title defense at Money in the bank will come against Kevin Owens, but that was not the original plan.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan was set to get a rematch at the pay per view. Bryan is out with an undisclosed injury and WWE made the switch to go with Owens.

It has been a crazy few months for Owens. He was supposed to wrestle Bryan for the title at WrestleMania before Kingston’s popularity skyrocketed. That caused Owens to not even be booked on the biggest show of the year and his face run lasted less than 100 days.
