Whoopi Goldberg Makes Surprise Return To ‘The View’ After Nearly Dying

Whoopi Goldberg surprised her fellow hosts of “The View” on Thursday by returning to set weeks after she suffered what she describes as a near-death experience.

Fox News reported that Goldberg had been absent from “The View” for a month after a battle with pneumonia and sepsis that nearly turned deadly.

“This is my first foray out,” said Goldberg, 63. “I’m not there yet, I’m not better…but over the next week and a half I will be here more often.”

Goldberg went on to explain that she spent three weeks in the hospital and is still battling a cough at this time. She also opened up about her “scariest moment,” which was “hearing my doctor say to me ‘You do realize how close to death you were?'”

This comes a week after Goldberg opened up about her near-death experience in a video to fans.

“Yes, I came very close to leaving the earth. Good news, I didn’t,” she said. “Thank you for all of your good wishes, all of the wonderful things that people have been saying. Even people who aren’t huge fans of mine have actually been saying nice things about me.”

Goldberg is now calling on her fans to take their health issues seriously and to go get their issues checked out by doctors before they spiral out of control.

While we certainly do not agree with Goldberg’s politics, we would never want to see anything bad happen to her health-wise. At 63 years of age, she is far too young to die, so we can only hope that she beats this illness completely and ends up back on her feet very soon.
