Anthony Pettis is about to begin what could be an interesting stage in his career, as the former lightweight champ is moving up to welterweight this weekend to battle contender, Stephen Thompson.
After dropping to 145 in 2016, and eventually being stopped by reigning 145 king, Max Holloway, Pettis returned to 155. But, since then, “Showtime” has gone 2-2 and most recently, Pettis was stopped by Tony Ferguson in October.
Well, not long after that, Pettis raised eyebrows by campaigning for a bout with “Wonderboy”, which he received. You can watch the veteran fighter discuss his decision to face Thompson at UFC Nashville below.
