It has just been revealed that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback demanded $20 million to join the Alliance of American Football (AAF).
Daily Mail reported that AAF CEO Charlie Ebersol personally approached Kaepernick asking him to play for the league last summer. The failed NFL player responded by demanding to be paid $20 million, which is truly ridiculous since ESPN reported that AAF players only earn between $75,000 to $250,000 for a three-year contract.
This comes as liberals continue to launch boycotts against the NFL over the fact that Kaepernick has not been signed by another team since leaving the 49ers in 2017. The left has created a narrative claiming that Kaepernick has been blacklisted by the NFL for racist reasons after he started the national anthem protests in which players took a knee while it was played. In reality, Kaepernick has actually not been signed by a team because he was a terrible quarterback for the 49ers, leading them to a losing record in 2016, the same year he began his anthem protests.
Liberals claim that Kaepernick just wants to play football in peace, but this story blows that narrative out of the water. It goes to show just how greedy and self-centered Kaepernick really is at his core. Who does he think he is demanding $20 million from a league that pays players $250,000 at most?
In the end, this begs the question: was Kaepernick protesting for social justice reasons or was he out to make as much money as he could for himself? Kaepernick never would have scored the lucrative deal that he got with Nike had he not become a social justice warrior and he is clearly hoping to make even more money from this in the future. Hopefully, this will expose Kaepernick and show his supporters that he is not the kind and selfless person that they think he is.
