boogie woogie dance

Today’s teens and young adults sure could learn a thing or two about dancing. Decades ago, things were much different. We dressed respectfully and we kept things clean. That’s not the case with modern dancing and music. Back in the 1950s and 1960s, dancing could be high energy and respectable at the same time.

Henric and Joanna Stillman dominate dance floors across the world with the fun dances of the past. These two are masters at swing dancing and other old school styles. When they start dancing, the crowd begins cheering and it’s like taking a time machine back to the 1950s!

This couple had a real 2016 show-stopping routine in Grenada. They started to boogie-woogie and the room quickly lit up with a ton of energy. Henric even lost his hat at the beginning of the dance. He smoothly kicked it to the side in a completely professional move. This pair wasn’t about to let anything get in the way of their fun!

As you can see in the video below, Joanna and Henric are completely flawless. They land every jump and perfectly complete each and every move.

Watch the video below to see the crowd go wild and this loving couple dance to Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally!” Modern dancing has nothing on boogie-woogie!

Wow! I burned some calories just watching them. That’s what dancing is meant to be! It was so much fun and completely classy, just like watching “American Bandstand” with Dick Clark back in the day!

If you enjoyed watching Henric and Joanna, click here to see Lindy Hoppers show us how it was done back in 1953. They lit up Harlem’s Savoy Ballroom in amazing fashion!

The 1950s were a completely different time. Much has changed since then, but there are plenty of things we can learn from the past, like dancing!
