Kensington Palace has released pictures of the Royal Family that will simply bring a smile to your face. The proud family gathered together to celebrate the special day and the Royal children showed off their big personalities.
Prince Louis’ christening on July 9 inside the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace was a private event. The family was able to keep it that way, but they shared photos that capture the joy everyone felt as Prince Louis officially became a member of the Church of England.
One photo features Prince Louis with his immediate family, including Prince Charles and Prince Harry and their wives. Kate Middleton’s siblings and parents were there as well. There were plenty of smiles as they celebrated the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child.

Photographer Matt Holyoak was hopeful that the pictures would capture the happiness of the day. That is evident even on the faces of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The young princess took the opportunity to show off her cheeky personality for the occasion as you can see in the picture below.

Prince Louis wore the same gown that his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte wore during their baptisms. It is a replica of a gown that had been used for royal baptisms since Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter wore it in 1841.

Kensington Palace released a bonus picture that shows off how happy Prince Louis was on his baptism day. The baby prince, who is fifth in line to the throne, looks very much like his older brother Prince George. However, he has dark hair like Princess Charlotte. His facial expression is that of pure joy as he’s held by his doting mother Kate!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released an additional photograph taken following the christening of Prince Louis.

It’s hard to look at the pictures and not think of Princess Diana. Prince George and Prince Louis appear to resemble their late grandmother who we all knew as the People’s Princess. A picture of Diana when she was George’s age is below.
