Princess Charlotte has a lot of personality. She knows how to play it up for the crowd and she is learning a lot from her Gan-Gan, the Queen. During Trooping the Colour, Charlotte mimicked the Queen’s actions in an adorable video.
For over 260 years, Trooping the Colour marks the sovereign’s birthday. More than 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians mark the occasion. People line the streets to watch the parade and Royal Air Force flyover as the Royal Family watches from the balcony of Buckingham Palace after the Queen has inspected the troops.
It’s a very celebratory day as millions watch the Royal Family together on the balcony. The Queen typically steals the show as it is her birthday celebration. This year, however, Princess Charlotte is the one getting the buzz.
The young Princess noticed that her Gan-Gan was waving to the crowd. She understands that the Queen sets the pace, so she followed Gan-Gan’s lead and waved as well. Kate Middleton caught a glimpse of this adorable response and immediately told Prince William. Princess Charlotte has a great role model in the Queen and she already knows to follow Gan-Gan’s lead!

What a cutie! Charlotte has the wave down pat. She also showed off what the Queen taught her when she went to meet her brother, Princess Louie for the first time. She waved to the photographers and people on the street in a manner that will melt your heart. There is no denying that she is Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter as you can see in the video below!
