Rodrigo Alves is the trainwreck we can’t seem to look away from. That’s exactly how he likes it though. Alves is dubbed the Human Ken Doll for a reason. He’s had so much cosmetic surgery that he looks plastic and his last surgery might be the most bizarre one yet.
The Human Ken Doll had four ribs removed in order to obtain a smaller waist. The five-hour operation set him back $28,000 dollars. It also decreased the size of his waist from 34 inches to 29 inches. He loves it because he claims he no longer has to get his blazers adjusted by a tailor.
Alves now has the waistline he has been desiring for years, but he has to wear a corset all day and night to give him the hourglass figure that he craves.
“The procedure really works but when I don’t have the corset on, it looks pretty much like it was before having the surgery because I’m still swollen and tender. It’s a long recovery but I’m starting to see the results now and I’m very pleased and happy,” Alves said.
Alves complains about traditional methods of weight loss, such as working out and dieting. He prefers to opt for plastic surgery. The dozens of procedures he has had have come at a price tag of over $500,000.
“I like the fact that I have reinvented myself with the help of plastic surgery and that I don’t look like any other man, I don’t look like anyone else and I do like that,” the Human Ken Doll said, “I am my own person, I am my own brand and it feels good to be an individual as well. Having the ribs removed is just a small fraction of it.”
