hot car kids mom interview

Shanesha Taylor drew national attention when she left her two young children in a hot car while she went on a job interview in Phoenix. Yes. Phoenix, Arizona. One of the hottest places in the country. By the time police arrived at her car, temperatures exceeded 100 degrees inside. Her 6-month-old baby was sweating profusely and crying.

When she came out from the interview, she was arrested for leaving her kids in a hot car for almost an hour. She knew what she did was wrong, but she was not expecting this.

Taylor’s mugshot quickly went viral. The mother had tears streaming down her face. This tugged at the heartstrings of many liberals around the country. People opened up their wallets to the tune of $114,000 to help her.

All the sympathy helped her get what many consider the deal of a lifetime. No charges would be filed if she took parenting and drug classes. She also had to put $40,000 of the donations into a trust for her children. Even with that sweet deal, Shanesa couldn’t follow through.

Civil rights activist Rev. Jarrett Maupin helped broker the deal, but he had enough of Shenesha and walked away. He set up job interviews for this woman who couldn’t find work, but it appeared that she didn’t want to work.

“She didn’t go to the interviews, didn’t return calls, wasn’t interested in the kind of jobs we were able to bring to the table for her. This was someone who had no job at all,” Maupin said.

In addition to this, Shenesha didn’t put the money into a trust for her children, which was a requirement of the deal. Instead of using it for her children’s benefit, she spent it – all of it.

“The money is gone. It’s been spent. It’s been wasted on designer clothes, Michael Kors. We want to see the bank statements because we see her in designer jeans, and we understand that she paid for studio time for her baby daddy’s rap career. I am flabbergasted by that,” Maupin said.

Shenesha went on Dr. Phil’s show to explain why she left her children in the car. Given her track record, perhaps she was looking for more suckers to help fund her lifestyle in a GoFundMe account. That interview is below.

After getting $114,000 in donations, Shenesha Taylor ended up needing a public defender because she was indigent. Reportedly, she spent $6,000 on studio time for her baby daddy, who is an aspiring rapper. Maupin reports the estranged baby daddy returned when he heard about the bounty of donations.

This is an important reminder to be careful with donations. These crocodile tears cost a lot of people a lot of money for nothing!

Share this if you wouldn’t donate money to this criminal!
