Cena “Rules Out” Undertaker Match – Now What?

Even though John Cena lost at Elimination Chamber, many people believed Cena would go to WrestleMania to face the Undertaker. However, John has now “ruled out” a match with the Undertaker, which makes us wonder if there is a spot for John Cena at this year’s WrestleMania!

Facing the Undertaker Is Impossible!

Many people believed a match between the Undertaker and John Cena was in the making for WrestleMania this year. However, Cena put those rumors at rest during last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, making it appear like a match between him and the Undertaker is definitely off the table.

Still, I have to admit that I am not convinced that the match between the Undertaker and John Cena is not going to happen. It seems a little extraordinary for John to get the crowd riled up for an Undertaker match, only to cut it down shortly afterwards. I would love to be right about this, but you never know with the WWE.

Free Agent Privileges!

Another interesting fact that came to light during John Cena’s promo on SmackDown is the fact that he is still a free agent; this means that Cena does not belong to either brand. It also indicates that Cena could still find a way to WrestleMania by competing at SmackDown.

The free agent status of John Cena has many people talking, and not necessarily in a positive manner. Fans and wrestling reporters are speculating that Cena might move to SmackDown to find a challenger for WrestleMania. A lot of people believe that this challenger could be Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane.

Cageside Seats believes that John Cena may challenge Nakamura for his WWE title shot at Fastlane. If Cena were to win that match, he could continue on to WrestleMania, causing Nakamura to lose his title shot against AJ Styles.

My Take on Cena’s Road to WrestleMania

I do not think the WWE will be so stupid to turn away money, more specifically the title match between Nakamura and Styles at WrestleMania. I believe we are being swerved and that a match with the Undertaker will be in the cards for WrestleMania.

There could also be a possibility of Daniel Bryan, although the likeliness of that is dwindling with every passing day. As Daniel Bryan said himself, if he is not wrestling by WrestleMania, he will not be wrestling on the WWE brand at all. Still, how lovely would it be to see a Cena versus Bryan match on the biggest stage of them all?

For now, all we can do is wait and see what the WWE is planning for Cena. I find it unlikely that he will not be at WrestleMania, considering how much attention his fight to join the WrestleMania card has been getting. The only question now is his opponent.
