Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, bodybuilder, and former Governor of California. Schwarzenegger is considered to be one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and won the title of Mr. Universe at the age of 20. Arnold Schwarzenegger had a successful career in film, starring in the popular Terminator series.
As a young man, Arnold Schwarzenegger served in the Austrian Army in 1965 to fulfill the one year of service required of all 18-year-old Austrian males. During his service, he went AWOL during basic training in order to compete in the Junior Mr. Europe contest, which he won. Schwarzenegger served one week in military prison for his actions.
