White Christmas is a holiday movie that fans of classic films know well. It features Irving Berlin songs and also gave us a new version of the title song sung by Bing Crosby, whose bass-baritone voice made him the best selling recording artist of the 20th century.

Of course, there were plenty of other great songs in this movie that have stood the test of time. Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen’s performance of “Sisters, Sisters” is one to remember. While they were singing it, they caught the eyes of Crosby and Danny Kaye’s characters.

There’s a fun fact about this song. For the movie, Rosemary Clooney sang both parts of the song! She served as Vera-Ellen’s singing vocal dub, but it’s hard to recognize this while watching the clip from the movie. Vera-Ellen didn’t actually sing the songs in White Christmas! The song is about the strong bond between two sisters. The lyrics should be familiar to anyone who has seen the movie.

“Sisters, sisters—
There were never such devoted sisters.
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir,
I’m there to keep my eye on her.
Caring, sharing
Ev’ry little thing that we are wearing…”

You can see the clip from the movie in the video below.

There are so many memorable songs from this movie. It’s hard for me to think of White Christmas without humming along to “Snow.” The two couples sing the catchy song about wanting lots of snow in the video below.

Of course, you can’t think of White Christmas without the title song. This dramatic song was made better because it was filmed in Technicolor. The vibrant colors added to the holiday spirit of this classic Christmas song. Click here to see that amazing video.
