The woke Hollywood star Lena Dunham has found herself in hot water this week after her former co-star Donald Glover accused her of using the “N-word extremely liberally” on the set of her HBO show “Girls” back in 2012.

Glover’s Claim About Dunham

Glover made this shocking claim while presenting the writer-producer Paul Simms with an award at the Writers Guild Awards on Sunday night. Glover, who played the boyfriend of Dunham’s character Hannah Horvath in a few episodes, recounted filming a sex scene for the series, saying, “Afterwards, I asked Lena, ‘Yo, what made you decide to work with Paul?'”

“And she goes ‘Honestly, this n- lets me do whatever I want,'” he continued. “I remember thinking two things: One, Lena is using the N-word extremely liberally. Who does she think she is, Chevy Chase? And two, that’s the kind of producer I want.”

Dunham fired back through her representative, who told Daily Mail, “Donald Glover told a joke referencing Lena Dunham for last night’s WGA Awards. It included, for effect, language Lena never used, nor would use. Full stop.”

Glover Slams Chase

Glover also used his speech to attack Chase, who was accused of making racist comments towards him during their time starring on the show “Community” from 2009-2015.

“This award was named after Herb Sargent, a writer who worked on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and came up with Weekend Update with Chevy Chase,” Glover said. “Chevy Chase once called Herb one of the funniest writers working in television. And Chevy Chase once called me… you know, this is about Paul.”

Chase did not comment when contacted by the press.

This came after the “Community” creator Dan Harmon claimed that Chase once told Glover, “People think you’re funnier because you’re black.”

“Chevy was the first to realize how immensely gifted Donald was, and the way he expressed his jealousy was to try to throw Donald off,” he alleged. “I remember apologizing to Donald after a particularly rough night of Chevy’s non-P.C. verbiage, and Donald said, ‘I don’t even worry about it.”

Glover has said that he saw Chase as someone who was struggling with the fact that his stardom was fading.

“I just saw Chevy as fighting time—a true artist has to be O.K. with his reign being over,” he said of him. “I can’t help him if he’s thrashing in the water. But I know there’s a human in there somewhere—he’s almost too human.”

Dunham Accused Of ‘Hipster Racism’

As for Dunham, she was previously accused of “hipster racism” by the black feminist writer Zinzi Clemmons, who claimed that she “ran in the same circles” with the “Girls” star when they were in school.

“I avoided those people like the plague because of their well-known racism,” Clemmons said in 2017, according to The BBC. “I’d call their strain ‘hipster racism’, which typically uses sarcasm as a cover.”

“In Lena’s circle, there was a girl who was known to use the N word in conversation in order to be provocative, and if she was ever called on it, she would say ‘it’s just a joke,'” she continued. “I was often in the same room with her, but I never spoke to her, only watched her from afar in anxiety and horror.”

This latest claim about Dunham will do nothing to help her reputation in the woke crowd that she is accustomed to spending her time with. It remains to be seen if her career in Hollywood will recover from this, or if she’ll be canceled for good like others before her who committed the same offense.
