Candace Cameron Bure took on the mama bear role when online trolls mocked and hated on her family Christmas picture. She clapped back hard at them for their rude and harsh comments about her children.

Families mark holidays with group photos — what better way to be able to look back and recall special time together. Most moms proudly share their family pics on social media. But, keyboard warriors look for opportunities to rip others apart.

And, that’s what they attempted to do to the Bure family.

Candace Is A Devout Christian

Candace is very vocal about being a devout Christian. But, being a Christian doesn’t mean that you sit in silence and allow people to attack your family.

People particularly took aim at her three children. While her daughter and two sons are all adults now, they should not be subjected to ridicule.

It wasn’t a traditional holiday picture. There weren’t Christmas trees or matching pajamas. Not everyone was smiling. It was a group picture of individuals.

“Happy New Year from the Bures!! Looking forward to what 2021 has in store. I’m praying for unity, grace, humility, compassion and love for mankind. With God, all things are possible ??. Sending virtual hugs and kisses! XO,” the Fuller House star wrote on the Instagram post.

Bure Calls Out Haters

One extremely rude person wrote, “This is a very weird photo.” Attempting to add insult to injury, she said Bure’s son “looks stoned,” that 22-year-old daughter Natasha “looks like a Disney movie evil queen.” This commenter recommends the Christian actress “fire the photographer.” The photographer is Melissa Coulier, the wife of Cameron Bure’s ‘Fuller House’ co-star Dave Coulier.

The actress was miffed at the stream of insults. While many people recommend ignoring haters, Candace took a different approach.

She posted about it on Facebook and got a tremendous amount of reaction and praise for how she handled the situation.

“I posted my family Christmas photo and sadly, there were so many unkind comments. Do you think it’s funny to criticize someone’s children? To make jokes about them? To critique our poses? The direction in which we are looking? Our physical appearance and facial expressions?,” she began in her Facebook post.

“I wished blessings upon everyone as I shared it in the spirit of a happy new year, yet so many of you came back with jokes about our appearance and criticism of what you thought would have been a better photo,” she continues in the Facebook post below. “Shame on you. It doesn’t matter if you’re 10 or 90 years old, rude is rude. Be better than that. I’m praying for humanity. Manners and respect. If you don’t like something, just move on. There are people and real feelings behind every screen.”

She ended by reminding fans to “Try kind. It looks good on everyone.”
