Darci Lynne Petunia

Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer took to the stage for a special “My Hometown Christmas” performance with her puppet Petunia.

14-year-old Darci Lynne performed “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” before Petunia blasted onto the stage to banter back and forth with Darci Lynne, reminiscing about their winning season 12 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

Other performers featured on Darci Lynne’s special included Toby Keith, Kristin Chenoweth, Hunter Hayes and the a capella group, Pentatonix. Host Howie Mandel also made an appearance as well as the other three judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Heidi Klum.

Darci Lynne Farmer was born on October 12, 2004.

Darci started learning how to be a ventriloquist at an early age in her hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after meeting teen ventriloquist Laryssa Bonacquisti. Farmer’s parents gifted Petunia to their daughter for her tenth birthday in October of 2014.

Darci Lynne’s talent as a ventriloquist was evident immediately and she won first place at the Edmond’s Got Talent show in 2014. Soon after, ventriloquist and coach Gary Owen saw her talent and was so impressed, he offered to be her ventriloquy coach as well as her business manager.

Through her hard work, Darci Lynne found herself, along with Petunia, winning talent contests in the junior divisions of Oklahoma’s Got Talent and Oklahoma Kids. In Branson, Missouri she also won Entertainer of the Year at America’s Kids.

Darci Lynne’s fame went nationwide when she debuted on “America’s Got Talent” in 2017.

Darci Lynne will start touring North America in January with her show “Darci Lynne and Friends.”

Darci Lynne’s time on America’s Got Talent isn’t over yet, either. The next season of the show will feature only the show’s champions from past seasons, meaning Darci Lynne will be up against her fellow Golden Buzzer Buddies.
