Five of The Worst WWE Feuds In 2018 That Made Fans Cringe

Feuds make the world of the WWE go around, so there is nothing worse than a terrible program between two (otherwise) solid competitors. Below are five of the worst WWE rivalries in 2018.

Sasha Banks and Bayley

This program spilled over a bit from 2017, and while fans were somewhat interested (at first) to see these two BFFs clash, the feud was not unraveled well enough to truly go anywhere. With a start-stop storyline, WWE Creative truly dropped the ball on the feud, which eventually turned fans off. The good news is that they were able to “repair” their friendship through therapy and are now a solid tag team; the bad news is that we fans had to be bored through that entire segment with Dr. Shelby for them to get there.

Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman

Two incredibly entertaining performers and a program was wasted! Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman are two of the best things on Monday Night RAW today, and this feud accomplished nothing. Braun was desperate to “get those hands” on Kevin Owens, and poor KO was desperate to escape. The rivalry didn’t elevate either superstar, and while watching Owens try to flee was funny for the first two segments, a babyface Braun ended up looking like an over-sized bully in the end.

Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn

Three words: Bobby Lashley’s “sisters”. One of the worst segments in the WWE this year, the Lashley and Zayn feud was just awful, and set the tone for a lackluster return for Bobby as well.

Carmella and Asuka

Off the cusp of her streak being decimated by Charlotte, Asuka’s run on SmackDown LIVE was very shaky. Thankfully, she is now sitting on top of the women’s division; however, earlier in the year the Empress suffered another terrible blow after Wrestlemania 34, being put in a program against Carmella. Their matches were the worst, promos cringy, and even James Ellsworth returning to SD LIVE couldn’t help this sinking storyline ship.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar

Most within the WWE Universe did not want to see Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar headline Wrestlemania 34, but as we have all learned in the past, Vince does whatever Vince wants to do in the end. Their WM 34 match wasn’t the best, but even worse than the bout was it’s outcome. Okay, so Brock Lesnar retained his Universal Championship, and kudos to the WWE for the shock value on that one, but the two would move to wrestle again at the Greatest Royal Rumble in yet another awful match, where the (part-time) Beast Incarnate once again retained the belt. The men would finally finish their feud off closing another huge WWE pay-per-view in SummerSlam, despite the fact that no one wanted to see that match either. The WWE Universe is all rooting for Roman Reigns to beat his leukemia and return to in-ring action; however, here’s hoping someone can dethrone current-Universal champ Lesnar beforehand. A part-time champion is killing RAW.
