Tom Cruise has starred in several amazing movies over the years. And while he just finished his most recent installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, as well as announced a Top Gun 3 in the works, that’s still not enough for the iconic actor. There’s been some talk of a future Tropic Thunder spinoff.

While speaking with Josh Horowitz, who hosts the Happy Sad Confused podcast, director Christopher McQuarrie not only talks about the future Top Gun sequel, but also talks about how Cruise wants to make a spinoff movie of his Tropic Thunder character.
The satirical comedy movie came out in 2008 and left fans rolling in laughter with’s outrageous story, hilarious moments, and uncalled for dialogue.

What makes this move so amazing is that the usual serious actor, Tom Cruise, played Les Grossman, who served as one of the many antagonists in the film. The studio executive pushes the cast too far. But apart from that, Tom Cruise wore fake large hands, a fatsuit, and a bald cap to totally dive into the part of the character.
Les Grossman is a hilarious character who adds so much to the film. And the idea of having a spinoff movie of this character is incredible. No doubt, Tom Cruise would enjoy a break from his terrifying and risky stunts and serious character to reprise this role once again.
Even with his desire to reprise the role, it might not be actually in our future, unfortunately, as Tom Cruise is actively involved in multiple roles and projects, leaving him with little time to spare. Even so, fans are still hoping that the actor doesn’t forget his words, so we can see more of the iconic comedy character.
