A Utah girl who had been waiting for two years to be adopted by her foster family got some great news this week. Her reaction was caught on video at school and is going viral.
Sixth-grader Tannah Butterfield got the news from her school’s office manager, Jackie Alexander. She is a family friend of Butterfield’s foster mother Jennifer Fisher. Fisher asked the office manager to tell Tannah that her biological rights had been terminated and she was going to be adopted this fall. There had been some setbacks in the case and the Fisher’s didn’t want Tannah to wait another minute to hear the good news.
Tannah jumped into Alexander’s arms and began screaming as soon as she heard, “You get your forever family, honey!” It was all caught on the school’s surveillance camera. The family wanted to post the video to share some much needed positive news. There is still plenty of joy and happiness in the world. The Instagram video below is evidence of that!
The Fishers will be adopting Tannah’s 6-year-old brother Teagan and 2-year-old sister Tallie as well. They had a number of obstacles fighting for these children for the past two years, but Jennifer Fisher tells parents in the same situation to never give up. “We really wanted the kids to be a part of our family,” she said. “It might take a long time but just stick with it and it will be worth it. After two years of waiting, they get their happily ever after!”
Share this to spread some happiness with friends and family!
