As Stranger Things heads towards its finale, news has been popping up that might shock fans. Two of the most iconic characters in the hit show, who seemingly give off a ‘father-daughter’ relationship, might not be as wholesome as they seem.
Reports have come up that Millie Bobby Brown accused David Harbout of bullying and harassment. In the hit show, Stranger Things, David Harbour plays Jim Hopper and acts like a father figure to Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Eleven.

The U.K. newspaper The Mail on Sunday reports that Brown accused Harbour of harassment and bullying and that Harbour faced an internal investigation after she complained about his behaviour. The Mail adds that the allegations did not include sexual impropriety.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” a source told the newspaper. “There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
The source continued, saying, “Netflix will never comment on an internal investigation, but the fact they’ve not denied it speaks volumes. Stranger Things helped put Netflix on the map. Millions of fans around the world have been anticipating the finale. No one wants anything to take attention away from that.”
Though the outcome of the inquiry is unknown, Brown allegedly filmed the series finale accompanied by a personal representative on set.

“Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young. I knew her before any of this big fame hit,” Harbour said on an episode of the That Scene with Dan Patrick podcast at the time.
“I have a real protective feeling for her. I have a real, like, worry,” he continued. “I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with.”
The news of Harbour’s behavioural issues towards Brown comes shortly after he and Lily Allen broke up. They were married since 2020, but split in February, four years after being together, due to Harbour’s alleged infidelity.

Lily Allen, the Smiles singer, released her fifth studio album, West End Girl, on October 24, with several songs representing the dissolution of the relationship and her feelings about the infidelity in the relationship. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Allen said some but not all of the narratives on the album came from her own experience. “I don’t think I could say it’s all true — I have artistic license,” she said. “But yes, there are definitely things I experienced within my relationship that have ended up on this album.”
You can watch Stranger Things season five soon, with the first volume releasing on November r26, 2025, then on December 25, 2025. Volume two and the series finale will release on December 31, 2025.
