In the new Audible original, McLaughlin voices Dashon Wallace, a teen who goes from unwilling to participate in the games during the family vacation to unwittingly desecrating hallowed ground. Due to his careless actions, Dashon Wallace awakens an entity known as the Mbirwi, which leads to a clash of supernatural horror and family trauma that lasts a gripping 3 hours and 48 minutes.
McLaughlin describes this story as “both a haunting thriller and a thought-provoking cultural commentary, allowing listeners to viscerally experience the horrors and emotional struggles of these characters as the story unfolds.”
“Dashon’s deeply personal journey explores themes of family and identity in a way I think will resonate with many people – all while taking them on an electrifying adventure.”

Along with McLaughlin’s amazing talent, Sacrilege: Curse of the Mbirwi will also see voices from Jessica Mikayla, Christina Elmore, Kevil Carroll, Tapiwa Mutingwende, and more.
