We previously reported that the culinary media personality Rachael Ray had admitted to engaging in “huge screaming matches” with her husband John Cusimano, who she’s been married to since 2005. This came after fears spread about Ray’s health when she posted a video to social media in which she appeared to be slurring her words and suffering from facial drooping.
Now, Ray has surprised her fans by having her husband appear on her show Rachael Ray’s Meals in Minutes.
Ray’s Husband Makes Surprise Appearance On Her Show
Cusimano made the surprise appearance on Ray’s show in a video posted to her Instagram page. The video featured Ray showing off a cooking “fail” in which she pulled out some extremely burnt bread buns from the oven in her kitchen.
“You have to stop everything, because this is hilarious,” Ray, 56, told her crew as she pulled out the buns.
Cusimano helplessly looked on from their kitchen island as he tried to open up a bottle on the counter. He could be seen wearing a black, V-neck T-shirt and a chunky silver watch.
“That’s good,” he told Ray as she looked at the burnt bread.
Ray couldn’t help but burst out laughing as she showed off the charcoaled buns to the camera.
“Here’s the super funny part, these were like, pure white, and I thought they looked a little off ’cause they were so soft and fluffy white,” she said.
“I put them in the oven after I turned it off, the oven’s off,” Ray added as she continued to chuckle. “The oven is totally off, there’s no lights on in there. Who burns bread in an oven that’s not even on?”
Ray’s sense of humor was also exhibited in the caption of the video.
“Gotta watch them buns hun,” she wrote.

Ray Reveals ‘Huge Screaming Matches’ With Her Husband
Ray made headlines back in October when she admitted that she and Cusimano have “huge screaming matches.”
“It’s very hard, especially for hot-tempered or creative or vociferous loud people to be able to just calm it down,” she said. “John and I don’t calm it down ever. We have huge screaming matches all the time, but I think that’s healthy. I really do. And I don’t trust people that are too quiet.”
“Too quiet freaks me out,” Ray added. “I prefer that you tell me what you think when you think it and let’s just get it all out there.”
Ray Appears To Slur Her Words
This also comes after a video went viral back in September in which Ray appeared to be slurring her words and drooping her face. Fans were quick to express their concern about it.
“Is she slurring or am I slurring,” one fan commented. Another added, “I love you but are you ok? I’m seriously concerned.”
“Rachel is in a bit of trouble?! I hope someone is just as concerned as I am?” a third fan wrote. A fourth person questioned, “What the heck is wrong with her? Messy hair, slurring words….wow just wow …”
