Prince Andrew, the third of the late Queen Elizabeth’s four children, has been in hot water for years now. Indeed, he’s been seen as the most controversial royal due to his ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
Now, it appears that things have gotten even worse for Andrew. New reports indicate that his nephew Prince William, who is next in line for the throne, has already made up his mind when it comes to how to deal with Andrew when he becomes King.
Let’s just say that Andrew won’t be happy about his nephew’s alleged plans for him.
William’s ‘Mind Is Made Up’ On Andrew
Andrew stepped down as a working royal in 2019. This came after a disastrous BBC News interview in which he tried to explain his friendship with Epstein. In the years since then, Andrew has been laying low.
Royal experts are speaking out this week to claim that William has no intention of allowing Andrew to reemerge from the shadows anytime soon. William reportedly sees Andrew as a liability to the royal family due to his Epstein ties. This means that he wants his uncle to stay as far out of the public eye as possible.
“Anyone who poses a threat to the monarchy is banished,” British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News. “Prince William is a shrewd operator and stands firm in his decisions. He is committed and determined to do his best for the future of the monarchy. And his mind is made up.”
“His scandalous uncle is viewed as a black cloud,” she continued. “Future public royal duties are off the cards. If allowed, Andrew will likely bring further reputational damage to the monarchy at a time when the royal ship needs a careful steer. Prince Andrew will not have a formal role in Prince William’s future modernized, streamlined, monarchy.”
Andrew Is ‘Inextricably Linked’ To Epstein
Other royal experts were quick to agree with Chard.
“The idea that Prince William – or frankly anyone in the line of succession – would welcome Prince Andrew back as a working royal is not only unrealistic, it’s absurd,” said Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast.
“Prince Andrew’s name remains inextricably linked to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, and although Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing, public perception has never recovered,” Schofield explained. “Now, with the tragic suicide of his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, the controversy is once again back in the headlines.”
Giuffre was an alleged sex slave of Epstein’s. She long claimed that she was forced to have sex with Andrew multiple times when she was an underage 17 year-old girl. Andrew repeatedly denied ever having sex with her. Sadly, Giuffre committed suicide in April of this year.
“Prince William positions himself as a modern, duty-driven future king,” said Schofield. “There’s simply no room for scandal-plagued figures – regardless of familial ties. In the court of public opinion, guilt by association is powerful. William knows that, and any suggestion of Andrew’s return would be met with public outrage.”
Andrew has been stripped of his royal titles, and he is no longer a working royal. Despite this, Andrew still lives in the lavish 30-room Royal Lodge, which is a sprawling royal estate. Andrew’s older brother King Charles has repeatedly tried to convince him to cut his expenses by leaving the Royal Lodge. However, Andrew has refused to comply.
King Charles’ Supports William In This
Royals expert Hilary Fordwich alleged that Charles, 76, is both is “both relieved and delighted” that his son William is taking such a firm, no-nonsense approach to Andrew.
“His uncle Andrew’s reckless conduct has put the family in jeopardy,” Fordwich stated. “He won’t and can’t risk public association with such a disastrous member of the family who merely serves as a distraction from public duty.”
“[King Charles is pleased] William has taken such a dutiful, dedicated approach to the monarchy,” she continued. “He’s not the playboy of many past Princes of Wales, ancestors of his who didn’t either take the role seriously and/or were defined by debauchery. Prince William is unwavering in his determination to keep Andrew permanently sidelined from royal life, including being excluded from the recent major ceremonies Garter Day and Trooping the Colour.”
“Prince William sees this risk as a liability to the monarchy’s reputation and stability as permanent,” Fordwich added. “His resolve is absolute. King Charles, while maintaining a private, familial relationship, is in the same camp but does have a special agreement that allows his wayward brother to attend private family luncheons… but no more public processions or official duties. This approach is wise as it keeps familial peace while upholding a proper public image.”
King Charles has been battling an unspecified form of cancer for over a year. Though Buckingham Palace hasn’t confirmed anything, new reports have alleged that his cancer is “incurable.” While we all hope that Charles recovers, this means that William could end up being King sooner rather than later.
It’s clear that when William does become King, he will likely have no mercy on his Uncle Andrew. In the end, Andrew might want to start bracing himself now, because the future is not looking very bright for him!
