Prince Andrew, the third of the late Queen Elizabeth’s four children, has been in hot water for years now. He’s been seen as the most controversial royal due to his ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, it appears that things are about to get worse for Andrew. Indeed, new reports indicate that his nephew Prince William is planning to drop the hammer on Andrew when he becomes king.
William’s ‘Grudge’ Against Andrew
“Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew,” British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News. She added that William holds “a grudge against his disgraced uncle.”
“Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back,” Fordwich claimed. “He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”
Longtime BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond was quick to agree. She told Closer Weekly that when William becomes king, he won’t be wasting any time in dealing with Andrew.
“William has been a strong voice in managing ‘the Andrew problem’ — he is adamant that there is no way back for his uncle,” Bond said.
Andrew’s Infamous BBC Interview
Andrew, 65, took a step back from royal life after he gave a disastrous interview to the BBC. He tried to use this interview to address concerns about his Epstein ties. Instead, this backfired on him when he wasn’t able to explain his continued contact with Epstein over the years.
In the years since then, Andrew has been laying low. William, however, seems to feel that this is not enough, and that more action against his uncle is necessary.
“William’s strong stance on ‘the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined,” Fordwich explained. “He is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future.”
“[William is] very in touch with the public,” she continued. “Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”
Bond chimed back in to say that keeping the monarchy relevant is “extremely important” to William, 42. This only reinforces his feelings on how the unpopular Andrew should be dealt with.
“I think [the Prince and Princess of Wales] are completely united in doing all they can to keep the monarchy connected with the younger generation,” Bond stated. “They look modern, they act modern.”

Andrew Refuses To Leave Royal Lodge
Though Andrew has been stripped of his royal titles and charity roles, he still lives in the lavish 30-room Royal Lodge. King Charles, 76, recently tried to convince his younger brother to move to move to a much smaller cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, yet Andrew refused.
Unfortunately for Andrew, however, it seems that William won’t be taking no for an answer.
“Prince William’s role within the royal family is more prominent and influential than ever, as is his center stage position in diplomatic relations,” explained royal expert Helena Chard. “He recognizes the public animosity towards Andrew.”
“He views him as a complete liability with his series of scandals, both past and present, shoveling shame on the family,” she concluded. “His stance towards his uncle is tough. He will not entertain anyone toxic to the brand. Andrew will not be part of the streamlined monarchy.”
King Charles has been battling an unspecified form of cancer for over a year. While we pray that he has many years to live, many feel that William might not be as far away from becoming King as was initially thought.
In the end, it’s certainly not looking good for Andrew when his nephew becomes king. Only time will tell how this turns out for this disgraced royal!
