The legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne performed his final concert on Saturday. This gave him the chance to say an emotional goodbye to his loyal fans that have stuck by his side for decades.
Osbourne’s Farewell Concert
Osbourne, 76, performed a ten hour “Back To The Beginning” farewell concert in Birmingham, England. He was joined by his Black Sabbath bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward,
The show was hosted by the Aquaman star Jason Momoa, who proclaimed the event as being “the most epic day in the history of heavy metal.” It featured performances from the likes of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Jack Black, Steven Tyler and more.
Famous names like Dolly Parton, Elton John, Billy Idol, Jonathan Davis, and more sent in recorded messages that were full of inspiring messages for Osbourne. These legends were eager to thank Osbourne and his band for decades of incredible music.
For the closing set, Osbourne was lifted onstage as he sat on a black throne that was adorned with skulls and topped with a black bat. As he remained seated, Osbourne performed “Crazy Train” before singing the ballad “Mama I’m Coming Home.” It was the latter song that brought both Osbourne and the crowd to tears.
“It’s so good to be on this stage… You have no idea how I feel,” Osbourne told the crowd. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Osbourne Had ‘The Time Of His Life’
The show was livestreamed in the United Kingdom. Fans took to social media to make it clear that it was a huge success.
“Normally I would find this gross and bordering on elder abuse, but Ozzy is with it, his voice is on point, he’s having the time of his life,” one fan wrote in a viral comment. “Only Ozzy Osbourne could be in a chair, shaking from Parkinson’s, riddled with ADHD, and remain the consummate showman, remain dignified.”

Osbourne Cancels Tour Due To Health Issues
Osbourne announced in February of 2023 that he was canceling all future tour dates due to various health issues.
“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required,” Osbourne said at the time.
Despite being unable to walk due to Parkinson’s disease, Osbourne was determined to say goodbye to his fans with one more concert.
“I haven’t done any physical work for the last seven [or so] years,” Osbourne said back in May. “By hook or by crook, I’m gonna make it there. I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”
When asked if he was stressed about his last show, Osbourne replied, “Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday, you know?”
“So I’m just taking it one day at a time and when I do it one day at a time,” he added.
Thankfully, Osbourne’s determination paid off, and his final show was a huge hit! In the end, this could not have been a better conclusion to such an epic, hard-rocking career.
God bless you, Ozzy Osbourne!
