The Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne is preparing to perform publicly one final time this summer. This comes amidst various health struggles that have become extremely debilitating for Ozzy.
Ozzy, 76, is now speaking out to make a major announcement about just how much work he’s putting into this farewell show.
‘If My God Wants Me To…’
“All I can say is I’m giving 120%. If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it,” he said on his show SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks,
Ozzy is set to perform with Black Sabbath one last time on July 5. The performance is called “Back to the Beginning,” and it will take place in Ozzy’s hometown of Birmingham, England.
Ozzy has sadly been left unable to walk amidst his battle with Parkinson’s disease. He’s also still dealing with complications he suffered from a fall in 2019.
“I haven’t done any physical work for the last seven [or so] years,” Ozzy said on his show. “By hook or by crook, I’m gonna make it there. I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”

‘One Day At A Time’
When asked if he’s stressed about his final show, Ozzy said that he’s trying not to let his nerves get to him.
“Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday, you know?” he admitted. “So I’m just taking it one day at a time and when I do it one day at a time.”
Ozzy later talked about just how shocked he is at how much of an influence his music has had on the world. He recounted how a band once approached him at his Ozzfest festival just to tell him the massive impact that he’s had on their careers.
“I go, ‘I think you’re just saying that.’ I’m very self-critical about people’s adoration… I’m not good at accepting,” Ozzy confessed. “[My son] Jack said to me, ‘Well, you’ve done it now.’ And I go, ‘No, I haven’t. I want to make more music.'”
“When I met Paul McCartney, I nearly f—ing dropped dead,” Ozzy added. “And there was a kid, he said to me when I was explaining that, and he goes, ‘Do you know that was my experience of meeting you.’”

Sharon Osbourne Weighs In
Earlier this month, Ozzy told The Guardian that this farewell concert was actually his wife Sharon’s idea. Indeed, she thought that it would be “something to give me a reason to get up in the morning.”
“You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong,” Ozzy said of his health. “You begin to think this is never going to end.”
Still, he made a point of noting, “I’ll be up there, and I’ll do the best I can. So all I can do is turn up.”
Ozzy is a true legend, and there will never be another one like him. Please join us in saying a prayer for his good health as he continues to prepare for his final show!
