Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are divorcing. Now, these rumors have escalated in a big way.
Meghan’s Alleged Shocking Divorce Move
Vanity Fair just made a shocking claim about the couple. The publication alleged that Meghan’s team has had a “conversation” with a major publishing house about her writing a “post-divorce” book, once her marriage to Harry is over.
Admittedly, a rather explosive allegation we should take with a grain of salt. Nevertheless…
“Not a general book on life after marital dissolution, or one about Meghan’s past experience,” Vanity Fair alleged. “(She was married to producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2014.) this book—this notion of a book, really—might center on a post-Harry divorce. Not that there was actually one in the works! Just…if this a priori divorce ever came to be, would this publisher theoretically be interested in a book that took place in its aftermath?”
Vanity Fair then confirmed that “no offer was ever made, and no manuscript was produced.” However, if this allegation is true, it would certainly mean that Meghan and Harry’s marriage is in hot water at the very least.

Friend Of Meghan And Harry’s Respond
An old friend of Meghan and Harry’s who spoke out on the condition of anonymity fired back by saying, “The Vanity Fair divorce story seemed very unfair. There was a book but there wasn’t a book, she was planning for life after divorce, but they are totally in love. What? There was not a shred of evidence.”
“Things aren’t easy for them right now,” the friend continued. “Vanity Fair have succeeded in making a bad time worse.”
Despite this, experts think it’s a bad sign that a renowned publication like Vanity Fair would publish this kind of report.
“I would expect such an excellent publication to seek clear evidence that a divorce was in prospect before publishing speculation about such an outcome,” journalism expert and college Professor Tim Luckhurst told Newsweek.

Meghan And Harry’s History
Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they stepped down as senior royals back in 2020. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. Since then, they have received quite a bit of criticism from the public. This hasn’t come as a surprise to the royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop.
“It has only been five years since they broke free of the British monarchy, post-Sandringham summit,” Dunlop told The Mirror. “It was never going to be easy to leave the Royal Family, an institution with a millennia-long reputation for looking after their own.”
“Harry is like a fish out of water because he was born to be royal, to exist in a privileged world where all he had to do was be polite,” she continued. “That is no longer enough; with no commercial track record, the prince has to keep the fires burning in 13 fireplaces in that Californian mansion.”
Given all the bridges Harry has burned with both his family and the British public, he would certainly find himself in a difficult situation if his marriage falls apart. Only time will tell if that actually happens!
