Earlier this month, we reported that the Oscar-winning star Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. At the time, insiders were claiming that Kidman was desperately “fighting to save her marriage.” They also alleged that she’d felt “blindsided” by Urban wanting to separate.
Hours later, however, Kidman, 58, officially filed for divorce from Urban, 57. This came amidst rumors that Urban had already moved on with a “new girlfriend.”
Now, insiders are claiming that Kidman has gone running back to one of her famous exes in the wake of this split. Indeed, they are alleging that Kidman is reuniting with her former fiancé Lenny Kravitz, 61, over 20 years after their engagement.
Kidman Rekindles Past Romance
“Nicole and Lenny go way back,” a friend of Kidman’s told Radar Online. “What they had was real love, and that connection between them has never really faded. People who know them both say the spark is still there.”
“Both Lenny and Nicole are single now, so it feels natural for them to reconnect,” added a source close to Kravitz claimed. “He’s been open about wanting to find his soulmate – maybe this is the right moment for them to make it work.”
Kidman’s friends are fully onboard with her Kravitz reunion.
“After everything she’s been through with Keith, we’ve all encouraged her to just enjoy life again,” a longtime friend of Kidman’s stated. “She deserves to be cherished – and honestly, no one ever made her feel as loved as Lenny did.”
Kidman And Kravitz’s History
Kidman and Kravitz began dating back in 2003 after she rented his apartment in New York City. Though they soon became engaged, timing simply wasn’t on their side. Kidman was desperate for a stable family life after her bitter divorce from her fellow A-list star Tom Cruise. Meanwhile, Kravitz was living the hard-partying lifestyle of a rock’n’roll star.
“They were at very different stages of life,” a former associate of Kravitz explained. “Lenny was deep in his rock’n’roll lifestyle back then – always on the road, making music, and caught up in the scene. Nicole, on the other hand, was looking for stability and a family. They were simply at different points in their lives.”
Kidman and Kravitz ultimately broke up in 2004. She went on to meet Urban the next year before marrying him in 2006.
Over 20 years later, however, Kravitz and Kidman appear to want similar things in life. This bodes well for the potential of this romance, should they continue to rekindle it.
Kidman Prepares To Move To Europe
Kidman is also preparing to move overseas. She’s applied for citizenship in Portugal, where she hopes to get a fresh start in Lisbon. This would put her much closer to Kravitz, who splits his time between Paris, France and the Bahamas.
Friends of Kidman’s say that her move to Europe reflects her desire for “freedom and a new chapter.”
“Nicole’s in such a strong place these days,” one of her friends concluded. “She’s experienced marriage, raised amazing kids, and accomplished everything she set out to do. Now she just wants to embrace life with passion again – and Lenny embodies that energy.”
This has clearly been an extremely challenging time for Kidman. That’s why it makes sense that she would want to find comfort in the arms of a past love.
