The former Friends star Jennifer Aniston has reportedly embarked on a new relationship. While the man she is dating may be shocking to some of her fans, Aniston is reportedly in a “very good place right now” with him.
Aniston’s New Boyfriend
Multiple sources have confirmed to People Magazine that Aniston, 56, is dating the hypnotist Jim Curtis.
“[They are] casually dating and having fun,” one insider alleged.
“They’ve been seeing each other for a few months now,” another source added. “They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it’s still casual.”
“She’s been happy on her own, but she’s also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right,” this insider continued. “Jen’s in a very good place right now — grounded, fulfilled and very happy.”
Curtis is an author and life coach who specializes in hypnotherapy. The source acknowledged that “he’s very different from anyone she’s dated before.”
Indeed, Aniston has typically been romantically linked to other actors. She’s been married twice, with both husbands being Hollywood stars in their own rights. Aniston was first married to the Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt from 2000 until they divorced in 2005. She was then married to the Mulholland Dr. star Justin Theroux from 2015 until they divorced in 2018.
These days, however, Aniston seems happier than ever with her non-actor hypnotist boyfriend Curtis. This week, the new couple was spotted holding hands on vacation together on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Joining them on this getaway are friends of Aniston’s that include her former Friends co-star Courteney Cox as well as the Ozark star Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka.
“Jen has a very small group of trusted – and extremely protective – friends,” a Hollywood insider told Page Six. “She lives in kind of a bubble, and Jim’s been hanging out with them for a while now.”
Curtis’ History
Curtis reportedly describes himself as a “transformational coach and hypnotherapist.” Like Aniston, he’s also had a rocky road when it comes to his love life.
“I can’t keep a girlfriend because I get bored,” the divorced dad-of-one confessed in his 2017 book, “The Stimulati Experience.”
Curtis went on to write that at his lowest point, he was dating “a new girl every quarter.” He also admitted that he rarely sees his son.
“I wish I had a better relationship with my son, but he lives with his mother most of the time, and he’s pissed at me,” he lamented.
Page Six has confirmed that Curtis is the father of a teenage son Aidan, who lives with his ex-wife Rachel Napolitano in upstate New York. Curtis married Napolitano in 2003, but they split a few years later. After their divorce, Curtis embarked on a healing journey that he is still on today.
Aniston ‘Was Familiar’ With Curtis’ Work
These days, Curtis’ social media accounts are full of inspirational quotes and “manifestations.” He hopes that these will help other people “break free from their past and patterns” and find love.
Curtis currently boasts over 574,000 followers on Instagram. Aniston has reportedly been following him for two years. Back in 2023, she “liked” one of Curtis’ posts, which read, “Is it better to settle or stay alone? The answer lies in nurturing meaningful relationships.” Just last week, Aniston “liked” another post from Curtis. This one was notably about finding healing and love after a divorce.
A source told Daily Mail that Aniston “was familiar with his work” before things got romantic between her and Curtis.

Aniston’s Stalker Ordeal
This comes at a difficult time for Aniston. Indeed, it comes months after she was targeted by a stalker in a truly terrifying incident.
Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, was arrested on May 5 after crashing his car into the gates of Aniston’s $21 million sprawling hilltop Bel-Air mansion. Aniston was home at the time. Luckily, her security team was able to apprehend Carwyle before he could get to her. They held him at gunpoint until police arrived to arrest him.
According to prosecutors, Carwyle “repeatedly” harassed Aniston between March 1, 2023 and May 5, 2025. During that time, he hounded her with “unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages.”
In these messages, Carwyle allegedly described Aniston as his “bride” and his “true soulmate.”
Carwyle’s wife Julia later told Daily Mail that “he believes he was Jesus Christ and that she was supposed to be his queen.”
Carwyle was later declared mentally unfit to stand trial.
Aniston Moves On
Thankfully, it appears that Aniston is finally putting this behind her as she enjoys her Mallorca vacation with her new love Curtis. Witnesses have spotted the couple packing on the PDA as they continue this star-studded getaway.
“Jennifer is dating Jim and is very happy, but she’s still taking things slowly for now,” another source close to Aniston said. “Her friends have been buzzing with excitement over the new romance, and those who have met him think they are a perfect match.”
“They both share a deep love of doing ‘inner work’ and Jen thinks that Jim is quite remarkable in that respect,” this insider continued. “Jen has read just about every self-help book worth reading and Jim coming into her life has felt like fate.”
“It’s been a meeting of minds. Jen feels very connected to Jim as they have the same level of emotional intelligence, unlike some of her previous suitors,” the source concluded.
