Last month, we reported that the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston had been targeted by an alleged stalker who was arrested at her Los Angeles mansion after crashing his car into her gates. This terrifying incident understandably rocked Aniston to her very core.
Now, Aniston is getting reflective about her life. Indeed, in a new interview, Aniston is opening up about what’s on her career “bucket list.”
Aniston’s ‘Bucket List’
“I definitely want to do a Broadway play,” Aniston, 56, told People Magazine. “That’s on my bucket list, but it’s finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material.”
“But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway,” she continued.
Aniston has been working in film and television for decades, and she’s played countless roles during that time. When asked which role she’d be open to revisiting, however, Aniston had an easy answer ready.
“Oh my God, this literally came up the other day: Horrible Bosses,” Aniston said. This was a 2011 comedy film that also had a 2014 sequel. The movie tells the story of various employees who have, you guessed it, horrible bosses. Aniston plays one of these bosses, a dentist who sexually harasses her employees.
“Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too,” Aniston continued. “So that’s something that we think would be super fun.”
“The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy,” she added. “I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today.”
Aniston is currently starring on The Morning Show alongside Reese Witherspoon. Season four is set to begin streaming on Apple TV+ on September 17.

Aniston’s Stalker Incident
This comes at a difficult time for Aniston. A stalker later identified as identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, was arrested on May 5 after crashing his car into the gates of Aniston’s $21 million sprawling hilltop Bel-Air mansion. Aniston was home at the time. Luckily, her security team was able to apprehend Carwyle before he could get to her. They held him at gunpoint until police arrived to arrest him.
According to prosecutors, Carwyle “repeatedly” harassed Aniston between March 1, 2023 and May 5, 2025. During that time, he hounded her with “unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages.”
In these messages, Carwyle allegedly described Aniston as his “bride” and his “true soulmate.”
Carwyle’s wife Julia later told Daily Mail that “he believes he was Jesus Christ and that she was supposed to be his queen.”
Carwyle Declared Mentally Unfit To Stand Trial
Carwyle has since been declared mentally unfit to stand trial.
“He is not competent to stand trial so although I know it’s not the outcome my client would have preferred at this time I would submit on those two reports,” public defender Robert Krauss informed the court during a hearing last month. This came after a second analysis concluded Carwyle was mentally unfit to continue with the case.
“The people will also submit,” said Deputy District Attorney William Donovan.
Judge Maria Cavalluzzi proceeded to rule, “The court finds that the defendant is not presently competent to stand trial. Criminal proceedings are suspended.”
An “interest of justice” hearing has been scheduled for this Thursday, June 26 to figure out what should be done next with Carwyle. There, Aniston or her lawyer Blair Berk will have the chance to give impact statements.
Aniston has been one of the most famous women in the world for decades. This serves as a grim reminder that there are downsides to that level of fame.
