Last week, the convicted felon Anna Delvey and the former Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling became the first celebrities to be eliminated from season 33 of Dancing With The Stars.

After initially dissing the show, Delvey is now doubling down to blast Dancing With The Stars as being “predatory.”

Delvey Slams Dancing With The Stars

Delvey, 33, lamented that she and her partner Ezra Sosa, 23, didn’t get a “fair chance” on the show.

“I feel that the show so obviously used me to drive up the ratings, that they never had any plans to give me any chance to grow and only cared about exploiting me for attention,” Delvey told NBC News.

“It was predatory of them to try [to] make me feel inadequate and stupid all while I did get progressively better, yet they chose to disregard that,” she continued. “‘It felt like I was never really given a fair chance by the viewers or some of the judges given their nonsensical scoring.”

In her first week, Delvey scored only 18 out of 30 points for her cha-cha to Sabrina Carpenter’s hit song “Espresso.”

“It’s supposed to be a dance competition and not a popularity contest,” Delvey added.

Delvey Took ‘Nothing’ Away From Dancing With The Stars

Immediately after Delvey was eliminated last Tuesday, Dancing With The Stars host Julianne Hough asked her what she will be taking away from her experience competing on the ABC reality television show.

“Nothing,” Delvey bluntly responded.

“There you have it, absolutely nothing,” Hough, 36, replied as Sosa looked visibly stunned.

“You had fun, stop it,” host Alfonso Ribeiro chastised Delvey.

Despite this, Delvey appeared to stand by her statement. Indeed, she said the next day that her favorite part about her time on Dancing With The Stars was “getting eliminated.”

Carrie Ann Inaba Responds

Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, 56, later criticized Delvey for how she handled her elimination.

“I was taken aback by her comment,” Inaba told Entertainment Weekly. “That was dismissive not only of the opportunity she was given, of her wonderful and supportive partner Ezra [Sosa] in his debut season, but also of all of us who work on the show — from the dancers to behind the scenes to the creative team.”

“We all put in the effort to give her a fair opportunity,” she continued. “But I don’t think she could see that and it’s a shame. A little gratitude could have changed the narrative.”
