Season 33 of the hit reality television show Dancing With The Stars is set to premiere on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, September 17. On Wednesday morning, the cast was finally revealed on Good Morning America.

Fans are sure to be excited by this season’s cast!

Dancing With The Stars Season 33

Dancing With The Stars has been one of the most beloved shows on television ever since it premiered back in 2005. This year, Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will be returning to co-host season 33. Ribeiro won season 19 of Dancing With The Stars back in 2014. The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star has been co-hosting the show since season 31.

As for Julianne Hough, she was a professional dancer in Seasons 4-8 and a judge in Seasons 19-21, 23-24. She then served as a guest judge in season 30 before becoming a co-host in season 32.

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will be returning to the judges’ panel. Inaba and Tonioli have been on the judging panel since season 1. Derek Hough was a professional dancer on the show from seasons 5-23, only sitting out seasons 12 and 22. He became a judge in season 29 to replace Len Goodman, who left the show to spend more time with his family before he sadly died last year.

Most Controversial Cast-Member

Perhaps the most surprising and controversial figure on the list is Anna Delvey, who is described in a press release as the “notorious ankle bracelet fashionista.” Indeed, she’s been wearing an ankle bracelet since October of 2022, when she began her house arrest.

Delvey was arrested back in 2017 for defrauding major financial institutions, banks, hotels, and friends out of more than $250,000. While pretending to be the daughter of a German oil tycoon, she used this money to fund her luxury lifestyle.

Delvey was sentenced to four to twelve years in prison after being convicted of eight charges, including attempted grand larceny, larceny in the second degree, and theft of services.

Delvey was released in February of 2021, but she then spent over a year in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody after she overstayed her visa. Her story was the inspiration for the Netflix show Inventing Anna, which was produced by the Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.

Delvey is still under house arrest, but has been given special permission to compete on Dancing With The Stars.

It will certainly be interesting to see how this season turns out! Be sure to tune in to the Dancing With The Stars season 33 premiere on ABC and Disney+ at 8pm EST on September 17.
