Baywatch, the drama series about lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, and is known for the slow-motion runs down the sandy shores, is set to come back. And Carmen Electra would join Baywatch Reboot, and seems quite interested in the idea of getting back into a swimsuit, but only on one condition.

Fox announced the 12-episode first season of the reboot starting in 2026 in a September 23 statement. The new series carries on from the famed Baywatch that made stars of David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, and Electra. While no stars have been revealed yet, Electra has brought up her interest.
“It could be fun” to join the cast of the reboot, the actress and model told TMZ. “I don’t know if I’d be in the water. It’s the ocean, you know? I love being around the ocean. Working in it is very different. When you’re working in the ocean, it is very complicated,” she added

While the water might be a downside for you, she seems to have no hesitation about joining the cast again. “I could do the slow-motion run. I can definitely do that. And I still look really good in that suit, so that is not a problem. But the water — maybe I could be a captain!” she joked.
The original show premiered in 1989 and aired its first season on NBC, and lasted 11 seasons, eventually ending in 2001. It was the most-watched show in the world at its peak, and is forever beloved for its drama and risque shots.
In 2017, there was a movie reboot that starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Zac Efron, and Alexandra Daddario. While the movie flopped, Baywatch is an iconic show that doesn’t want to be let go just yet.

“Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry, and beachside heroics that defined the original,” Fox says in the release regarding the reboot. Fox promises an environmental angle “with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.”
