This sets them on a collision course, becoming new characters who must overcome their differences to escape.

The Planet of the Apes franchise has been around for decades and has had failures and successes when it comes to movie reboots. The film focuses on a scientist who gives enhanced intelligence to apes, resulting in the eventual downfall of human society and acting as a prequel to the original series.
