Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s relationship has always turned heads. And now, Bunnie XO breaks silence about affair Jelly Roll confessed to, causing a lot of attention and negative comments.

The country star, known for his popular songs Liar, I Am Not Okay, and Son of a Sinner, recently opened up about cheating on his wife, Bunnie XO. “One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair with my wife,” he confessed on an October 21 episode of the Human School podcast.

The couple recently celebrated nine years together, and have claimed to “put in a lot of work to repair” their relationship, he said. Now, Jelly Roll, 40, and Bunnie, 45, are “stronger than we could have ever been.”

After proposing onstage, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO exchanged vows that evening in 2016. The couple eventually renewed their vows in Las Vegas in 2023.

While Jelly Roll hasn’t gone into detail about the affairs timeline, he did say, “I wish our story would’ve went in the way that i never had an affair, and I’m in a way glad it happened, but man, I’m proud of who we are today.” Jelly Roll said how he was really in love with Bunnie and that his behavior had to stop. “I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives,” he confessed.

“When I was doing cocaine, I was hanging around a bunch of people that were doing cocaine… I used to be proud of long-standing friendships just because they had a number attached to them. Horrible humans. But I would just be proud to say, ‘That dude’s been with me 12 years.'”

But with the confession, Bunnie has received negative comments about her decision to stay with Jelly. One person wrote that she was “super bummed” by Bunnie’s decision, and couldn’t “look up to” Bunnie now.

In a social media comment, Bunnie weighed in, explaining to a fan why she decided to work things out with Jelly, and how their relationship is better for it. The response reads: “It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves – instead of running or gossiping. Growth isn’t weakness, it’s grace. But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life.”

Bunni XO also reveals that she would share the entire story in her upcoming memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, which is hitting shelves on February 10, 2026.
