Bunnie XO, the wife of the country music star Jelly Roll, is leaning on her faith as she goes through a major health scare.
Bunnie XO’s Health Scare
The wife of Jelly Roll took to social media last week to reveal that after suffering from strange headaches for months, she finally went in to get an MRI. It was then that Bunnie was told by doctors that she had an aneurysm on her carotid artery. Bunnie explained that while this has always been one of her “biggest fears,” the experience helped her to “learn to have faith for the first time in my life.”
“I’ve been living a nightmare the past 4 days,” Bunnie said in a video posted to Facebook last Friday. “In March, I started getting really bad headaches, really weird headaches that I’ve never gotten before, so I scheduled to have an MRI/MRA done this week with my doctor, and I went in and got it done.”
Bunnie was told that the aneurysm was on her carotid artery. However, she would need to have another scan done “to rule it out.”
This had always been a fear of Bunnie’s because her mother previously had an aneurysm that actually ruptured. Thankfully, her mother survived this, but it left a huge impression on Bunnie.
The second scan confirmed that Bunnie had a two-millimeter aneurysm.
“So the past four days, it literally felt like I kind of had a death sentence,” she said. “You have to kind of come to grips with your own mortality and that’s never a fun experience to go through, ever.”
While Bunnie’s aneurysm is “extremely small and tiny,” she pointed out that “nobody wants to walk around with a grenade in their head.”
‘Praise Jesus’
On Friday, however, Bunnie went to see a neurosurgeon. He told her that after looking at the scans, he thinks she has an artifact instead of an aneurysm. He cleared her after saying that she never should have been sent to see him at all.
While Bunnie will be getting a second opinion, she is still thankful for what he told her.
“Praise Jesus I got this cleared,” she stated.
On Sunday, Bunnie returned to Facebook to reveal what she’s learned from this terrifying experience.
“I tell you what, this health scare put so much in perspective for me,” she wrote “It honestly made me want to change a lot of things in my life. Be more appreciative of my family & friends.”
“It also made me reevaluate my relationship w/ God & learn to have faith for the first time in my life,” Bunnie continued. “Even my husband texting me last night saying ‘You’re my best friend.’ Brought me to tears.”

‘Love Your Loved Ones’
Bunnie concluded her post with a message to her followers.
“You don’t realize how much you appreciate life & the ppl in it until you feel like you could lose it & them at any moment,” she said. “Love your loved ones a little more today for me, would you? I love you guys- Happy Sunday.”
There really is nothing like a health scare that really puts life in perspective. Please join us in saying a prayer for Bunnie and her good health moving forward!
