Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of the former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura, has been making headlines over the past few months for revealing intimate details about her personal life. She did that once again last week, when she opened up about an embarrassing moment she had with her mother on the night before her wedding to husband Henry Hager back in 2008.

Bush Hager Reveals What Mother Told Her Before Wedding

During Bush Hager’s show “Today With Coda & Jenna” last Thursday, the hosts discussed a recent appearance that Gwyneth Paltrow made on the Call Her Daddy podcast in which the actress revealed all about her sex life with stars like Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt.

“Do you kiss and tell?” Kotb asked Bush Hager, who replied by saying, “I try not to. But I’ve been married to one person for a long time, so I don’t kiss and tell about that relationship.”

When a photo was shown of Bush Hager and her husband at their wedding, the former First Daughter said, “Oh, thank you for putting up my wedding photo. That was the night it all happened, y’all! Just kidding.”

That’s when Bush Hager revealed what Laura told her on the night before her wedding.

“My sister and I spent the night [on] the night before [my husband and I] got married, and my mom came in [singing] ‘You’re getting married! Let’s go change the sheets!’ And Barbara goes, ‘Eww gross, mom! This isn’t ‘The Other Boleyn Girl!'” she recalled

“I won’t even say what she said after that,” Bush Hager added with a laugh.

Barbara is Bush Hager’s twin sister. Check out this full segment in the video below.

Bush Hager Discusses Her Virginity

Last month, Bush Hager recalled a diary entry in which she encouraged herself to “hold” onto her virginity.

“I also had a looking at myself in the mirror and hoping I’d be able to save my virginity post,” she admitted.

This revelation caused her co-host Hoda Kotb and guest Amy Poehler to start laughing about this “embarrassing” diary entry.

“I was just worried in ninth grade that I wouldn’t have the wherewithal to hold it, you know?” Bush Hager continued.

Poehler, 51, responded by saying that in this journal entry, Bush Hager was telling herself  “you can do it, you can hold it, hang in there, you’re so close!”

“What if you’re not able to do it Jenna?!” Bush Hager said with a laugh.

While she did not go into further detail about the “truth” of losing her virginity, Bush Hager acknowledged that it was still an “embarrassing post to look back at.”

When asked about her own most embarrassing diary entries, Poehler replied, “I think a lot of mine is about relationships, and I think a lot of mine is just, you know, the amount of love I gave to a person that was maybe not the right person to give [it to].”
