Joy Behar scoffed at a female producer’s claims that she faced sexism while working at Fox News, saying on Wednesday’s episode of “The View” that she shouldn’t be surprised to have been hit by that at that network.
Abby Grossberg, a senior producer who handled booking guests for Tucker Carlson, has filed a lawsuit against Fox News claiming that she was forced by network executives to give a misleading testimony in their defamation legal battle with Dominion Voting System. She also alleges that she saw sexist and antisemitic behavior from her colleagues at Fox News during her time with the network.
Behar, however, was not having any of it.
“Wait a second. She works at Fox. She’s shocked by sexism?” Behar said this morning. “How many people have lost their jobs over there? Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly, to name but two, for sexual harassment. I mean, that’s a little naive.”
Fox News has since released a statement to The Wrap, saying, “Fox News Media engaged an independent outside counsel to immediately investigate the concerns raised by Ms. Grossberg, which were made following a critical performance review.”
“Her allegations in connection with the Dominion case are baseless and we will vigorously defend Fox against all of her legal claims which have no merit,” the network continued.

During this same segment on “The View,” the liberal co-host Sunny Hostin revealed she previously worked at Fox News.
When asked what the culture was like at the network, Hostin replied, “You would walk in and on each floor, depending on the show, they would have a white board that would stand and some of them were, were posted and there’d be like three points and you would see those points over and over again on each show. It was like, ‘I hate Obama. Obama is whatever’ and…”
“How long did you work there?” Behar asked, to which Hostin responded, “About a year.”
“My job was to be on Bill O’Reilly’s show and argue with Megyn Kelly about those points,” she added. “I think I bested her most of the time. But, and we know about Megyn, but I, I think that that is business as usual at Fox News.”

Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she was brought back two years later and has remained on the show ever since. She celebrated her 80th birthday in October of last year, but despite this, she has “no plans” to retire.
“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”
“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”
Behar and the rest of the liberal media can’t stand Fox News because the network dwarfs their shows in the ratings on a daily basis. She can bash Fox News all she wants to, but it’s not going to stop anyone from continuing to turn it on!
