Joy Behar Snaps On ‘The View’ Co-Host – ‘I’m Not Done Yet!’
Joy Behar snapped "I'm not done yet" at one of her co-hosts on "The View" this week in yet another meltdown.
Joy Behar came unglued on “The View” once again this week, this time snapping on one of her co-hosts during a heated debate.
"Comedian" Joy Behar says Pence should be "ashamed of himself."
`And despite Pence rebuking Trump and Tucker Carlson at the same dinner the joke was told, ignorant Joy claims the joke was an appeal to the "deplorable base."
"And that is a pathetic situation," she added. pic.twitter.com/N1dZxs60GI— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) March 14, 2023
Behar Loses It Over Pence Joke
The Sun reported that Behar’s latest meltdown happened while discussing a joke that was made by the former Vice President Mike Pence about Pete Buttigieg going on paternity leave from his job as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation after the birth of his two children.
“When Pete’s two children were born, he took two months’ maternity leave whereupon thousands of travelers were stranded in airports, the air traffic system shut down, and airplanes nearly collided on our runways,” Pence said, according to MSNBC. “Pete is the only person in human history to have a child and everyone else gets postpartum depression.”
The White House has since called on Pence to apologize.

Behar’s Meltdown
While discussing the segment on “The View,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg said that the joke was “not funny” before Behar chimed in to say, “I’d like to talk to the joke.”
“Besides the fact that it was not funny, it’s coming from someone who has a history of homophobia and that’s what the problem is,” she stated. “Here’s a guy who’s always been against gay marriage, he was against repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and even more egregious, as Governor of Indiana he exacerbated an HIV epidemic in South Indiana by waiting to legalize needle exchanges and closing down planned parenthood which was the only HIV testing site in the area.”
“So he should be ashamed of himself,” Behar added.
Behar then took a pause, which Sunny Hostin took to mean that she was done making her point.
“That’s the problem that I have with Vice Pres–” Hostin began.
This prompted Behar to snap and cut her off, saying, “I’m not finished yet!”
Hostin sheepishly silenced herself as Behar continued to make her point, adding, “I also have to say, this is a very , very craven attempt to appeal to the MAGA base, yet again, they’ve got to get this deplorable base on their side in order to win the primary.”
At the end of the segment, Behar recommended a “joke writer” for Pence’s next event. Check out the panel’s full comments on this in the video below.

Behar Has ‘No Plans’ To Retire
Behar was one of the original hosts of “The View” when it premiered back in 1997, and though she was fired in 2013, she was brought back two years later and has remained on the show ever since. She celebrated her 80th birthday in October of last year, but despite this, she has “no plans” to retire.
“I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” Behar told People Magazine around the time of her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.”
“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she went on to say of the ABC talk show. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

Behar’s meltdowns on “The View” seem to be becoming more and more frequent as of late. She may have her fans, however misguided they may be, but it remains to be seen how much longer ABC will decide it’s worth keeping someone like her around.
